Connecting with God through Fasting and Remembrance

This week, we finish out our Summer of Connection series with Fasting and Remembrance. Guest speaker, Nova, shares on how she connects with God through fasting, while Pastor Bailey shares on connecting through remembrance. 

Key Points on Fasting:

• Fasting fast tracks your connection with God
• Fasting is key to deeper intimacy, deliverance from demons, dreams and visions, and hearing the Lord clearer

Tips on Fasting:

• Plan in advance and spend time in prayer about your fast
• Write your fast out on paper and put it where you pray
• Ask the Lord about your fast and what he wants you to know
• Write out the days and check them as you go
• Write down what you want out of your fast

Key Points on Remembrance:

• Remembrance invokes a response- either an opportunity for thankfulness or an opportunity for healing
• Today's obedience is tomorrows testimony
• If there is an area in your life that is not good- God is not done!

Tips for Remembrance:

• Enter into your daily pursuit with thanksgiving
• Journal what God is speaking to you so you may steward his words and remember what he is calling you to
• Steward prophetic words by writing them down or recording them 
• The bible is a book of remembrance!
• Take daily communion
